Kalshi sports market guide

How PlayDelta reads Kalshi sports markets.

PlayDelta converts a live market price into a readable probability view, compares it with an independent model fair value, and shows whether the gap deserves attention—or should remain on Watch.

Market price

Price is the market’s current probability signal.

A contract near 62 cents is commonly read as roughly a 62% market-implied probability before fees, spread, and liquidity considerations. PlayDelta records the current market side and checks whether the source is fresh enough to use.

Model fair

The model creates a separate comparison point.

PlayDelta estimates a fair probability or fair line from the available matchup and market context. The model does not replace the market; it creates an independent reference for measuring disagreement.

Delta explained

The useful number is the gap, not the favorite.

Delta measures the distance between the market and the PlayDelta fair value. In probability markets, the gap is expressed in percentage points. In spread markets, it is expressed in line points. A larger gap can deserve attention, but it is not automatically actionable: source quality, market movement, timing, and risk checks still have to agree.

Source label

“Kalshi Resolved” describes provenance.

The label means the displayed market price was matched through PlayDelta’s Kalshi resolver. It does not mean Kalshi produced, reviewed, or endorsed the PlayDelta model output.

No price, no edge

Missing or stale data stays on Watch.

A scheduled game can appear before a reliable market price is available. PlayDelta labels that row Schedule Only or Price Needed and suppresses any public edge until a usable price arrives.

Soccer markets

Home, draw, and away must reconcile.

Regulation-time soccer is usually a three-outcome market. PlayDelta checks the home, draw, and away probabilities together. A missing draw contract, an incomplete probability book, or a market that does not reconcile is kept in Watch rather than forced into a two-team read.

Does PlayDelta place trades?

No. PlayDelta is an independent analytics interface. It does not accept wagers, hold funds, broker trades, or determine whether a user is eligible for a third-party market.

Is confidence the chance of winning?

No. Confidence grades the completeness and agreement of the read. The market probability and model probability are shown separately when reliable inputs are available.
